Doreen Kline Photography Wins the 2010 Bride’s Choice Award !

They had an elegant reception in the ballroom on the golf course with wonderful wedding photography.  It was an international event with friends and family flying in from all over the world to help them celebrate.  Vicky and Mark were also joined by a large group of their college friends from Bryant and Bowdoin Colleges.  Dj Chris Cerone had everyone dancing all night.  Flowers were by Ricardo Portalatin of Event Productions, Wedding Cake was by Kakes by Karen,  Video- Reel Treasures Video of Naples.  Here are a few images from the wedding, stay tuned later in the week for the slideshow….    Doreen   Naples Wedding Photographer

Block Island Wedding Photography , Naples Wedding Photographer.  This weekend I had the pleasure of photographing Meredith and Shawn’s Wedding on Block Island.  Shawn and Meredith are a wonderful couple and lots of fun to be with.  Their wedding was beautiful and held on Mansion Beach. The weather was sunny and warm.  We traveled all over the island to do images at the bluffs, the Atlantic House Beach and the Lighthouse for the sunset.  While we were at the Atlantic House Beach, a man galloped by on horseback and wished the couple well and we took a few pictures with the horse.  The reception was held in a fabulous tent in Meredith’s parents backyard. The catering was done by BeachHead Caterers from Block Island and the food was fabulous. Here are a few images from the wedding.

Julianne and Dustin In Chicago

Julianne and dustin 01 Julianne and dustin 02 Julianne and dustin 03 Julianne and dustin 05 Julianne and dustin 06 Julianne and dustin 07 Julianne and dustin 08 Julianne and dustin 09 Julianne and dustin 10jpg Julianne and dustin 11jpg Julianne and dustin 12 Julianne and dustin 13 Julianne and dustin 14 Julianne and dustin 15 Julianne and dustin 16 Julianne and dustin 17 Julianne and dustin 18 Julianne and dustin 19 Julianne and dustin 20 Chicago Wedding Photography.  Naples Wedding Photographer.  This week I am in Chicago to photograph Julianne and Dustin.  They are getting married in Mexico in December and wanted images with Chicago backgrounds while the weather is still nice.  I had never been to Chicago before this week and so part of the week we were tourists and took some tours and were all over town scouting out locations for the wedding shoot.  Chicago wedding photography is so much fun with tons of amazing backgrounds.  There are 2 large parks downtown that are beautiful and have great sculptures.  One sculpture is the Chicago Bean which is a huge stainless steel structure shaped like a kidney bean that reflects the skyline of Chicago like a mirror.  The Art Institute of Chicago had great gardens for chicago wedding photography and reflecting pools and amazing light for images.  Then we took a cab to the Shedd Aquarium and got the skyline of Chicago in the background and the Parthenon look of the Field Museum.  Julianne and Dustin were delightful to work with and lots of fun.  They wanted some grunge images so we went back downtown and took some images in one of the alleyways off a main street.  If you have ever been to Chicago you know there are lots of interesting homeless characters among the crowds.  While we were in the alley we came upon a colorful homeless man who was very agreeable to pictures with Julianne and Dustin.  I am here with my good friend Deb who is a fantastic wedding photographer and works mostly in Chicago and Indiana Debra Shaffer Photography Website

Courtney’s Bat Mitzvah

Bat Mitzvah Photography, Temple Beth El,  Fort Myers, Florida.  Courtney had her Bat Mitzvah this week at Temple Beth El in Fort Myers and did a great job.  The temple was filled to capacity with all of her friends and family.  Courtney was very relaxed with the Bat Mitzvah Photography.  The Rabbi Jeremy Barras was very proud of the great job Courtney did.   They had a luncheon at the Temple afterwards and that night had a big party at Pelican Preserve Country Club in Fort Myers.  Congratulations Courtney!

Under the Tuscan Sun

Tuscany 01a Cortona 22 Cortona 23 Cortona 19jpg Cortona 20 Cortona 21 Cortona 18 Cortona 17 Cortona 16 Cortona 11 Cortona 15 Cortona 14 Cortona 13 Cortona 12 Cortona 10 Cortona 09 Cortona 08 Cortona 07  Cortona 05pg Cortona 04 Cortona 03 Cortona 02 Cortona 1a Cortona 01 Cortona 23 One of our last stops on our Italy adventure was the medieval city of Cortona, featured in the movie "Under the Tuscan Sun".  We were surprised that the town was packed with tourists, they must have all seen the movie.  We never did find the villa featured in the film and I walked all over the city and never recognized any of the scenes in the movie.  It was a charming walled city with gorgeous views of the surrounding farms and
vineyards.  I finally found some live sunflowers and was delighted to capture some images of the fields of sunflower stretching as far as the eye could see.  After Cortona, we packed up and drove back to Rome to fly to the US.  Looking at all of my pictures in retrospect, I can't believe how much we saw in our 3 weeks in Italy.  I will be putting together some slideshows shortly of our adventures so stay tuned.  I also have some authentic Italian music for the background.  Thanks for sharing our images of Our Italian Holiday.  It's back to work this week….  Doreen
