The Abbey of Montecassino, Italy
August 14, 2009
After we left Sorrento we traveled by bus to Tuscany. On our way, in the neary mountains we could see a large monastery. It was founded in 529 by St Benedict. Through the ages, the abey was looked upon as a place o holiness, culture and art for which it became renowed on a worldwide level. It has been destroyed and rebuilt 3 times, most recently it was bombed in 1944, when over 1000 Polish soldiers lost their lives. It was rebuilt in 1953 and is amazing. Here are a few images of the inside and outside of Montecassino and a few images of our ride to Tuscany.

December 25, 2008Christina and Paul Marry at the Marco Beach Ocean Resort
October 8, 2008
This weekend I was delighted to be back at the Marco Beach Ocean Resort Marco Beach Ocean Resort Website for Christina and Paul’s Wedding. Christina and Paul live in Miami and love the beach and tropical weather. They made the trip from the east coast last week for a wonderful wedding at the Marco Beach Ocean Resort. They had a perfect, sunny day for their wedding. Bob Mitchell from A Beautiful Florida Wedding A Beautiful Florida Wedding Website officiated the ceremony and Clint Wiley sang on the beach Clint Wiley’s Website and entertained during the cocktail hour and reception. The guests enjoyed relaxing and cocktails on the terrace and then watched the sunset over the gulf. Friends and family helped Christina and Paul celebrate before leaving for their whirlwind honeymoon to Bali. Here are a few pictures from the evening.
LYCIAN TEMPLE TOMBS IN DALAYA, TURKEY
September 27, 2008
Our Turkish gulet also sailed to Ekincik Cove, where a small riverboat met us for a side trip upriver on the Dalyan River. The small boat worked its way thru a maze of small channels lined with bamboo and cattails. The area is famous for their Loggerhead Sea Turtles, although they did not come to see us on our visit. The riverboat delivered us to the city of Dalya, which is the location of amazing temple tombs hugging a rock face. To see it in person was amazing, much better than in the tourist brochures. We had a delightful lunch in Dalaya, shopped on the main street and then returned to the gulet for our final dinner aboard.

Matt- their dad was working late and couldn’t be there yesterday. They also have a 160 lb Mastiff dog Luther who will be joining us for the family photos later this weekend too. Stay tuned…
Visiting Austin in New York
August 29, 2007Family photography, Rochester, New York. This weekend I am photographing Becca and Dean’s Wedding and Rehearsal Dinner in New York. Dave and I flew up a few days early to visit with our grandson Austin and Michelle and Jeff and do family photography. They are all doing great and Austin is even more adorable than on our last visit in July. He has the cutest personality and now smiles all the time and gives us all kinds of looks and faces. I wanted to share a few of his new looks with you from this morning and bath time. I will post more photos later this week when Steve and Lynne arrive.
