Gulf Harbour Country Club, Fort Myers, Florida. This weekend we were back at Gulf Harbour Yacht and Country Club for Lou’s 90th birthday. It was a wonderful event, Lou and his wife Marie are delightful. Their five children were all their for their dads birthday and they celebrated, along with many of their friends. The Gulf Harbour Country Club looked great and they had a wonderful luncheon. Click on the arrow for the slideshow. Be patient and wait a minute for it to load. Happy Birthday Lou!

Gulf Harbour Yacht and Country Club
is a great spot for family, wedding and engagement photos in Fort Myers.  Gulf Harbour Country Club has a perfect location, right off Mc Gregor Blvd. The clubhouse is large and spacious and can accomodate large groups and wedding parties.  They have a wonderful golf course, beautiful beaches, large swimming pool and marina where you can dock your boat.  They also have tennis courts and a very active tennis association that has many tournaments at the club.

Yesterday I was with Caroline, Jack, Weese, Laurie and Lou for some fun family photos on the beach. There was plenty of beachfront for the kids to run around and have fun.  They also enjoyed climbing in the mangroves and swinging on the swings in the playground area.  There are walking trails all around the private island.  The kids headed to the pool to splash around after our photo session yesterday.  They enjoy every minute while they are in Fort Myers and especially love the pool and beach at the clubhouse.   Click on the arrow in the middle of the slideshow to start the slideshow.

Gulf Harbour Country Club was the destination for my family photoshoot this week.  Every year I look forward to Caroline and Jack’s visit to Fort Myers.  They live in Connecticut and come down with their mom and dad to visit their aunt Weese.  Yesterday we all went to Gulf Harbour to take some family photos on the beach.  The kids are adorable and so much fun to work with.  Here are a few of the kids I thought you might enjoy. It is a great place for weddings too if you are considering getting married in Fort Myers.  There are so many beautiful locations on the property for pictures.  Their golf course winds through the entire property and gives a lush, tropical backdrop to pictures through out the resort.  The large pool overlooks the marina and has very colorful bouganvilla on the trellis outside the pool.  They seem to be in bloom for most of the year.  The clubhouse has great architecture with large columns and a terracotta color.  Many of the weddings take place under the cover of the entrance to the country club.  This shields everyone from the sun and the elements, while still giving the view of the property.

This week Dave and I were visiting our family in San Antonio, Texas. We had so much fun with our grandkids, Austin and Annabelle.
It was Steve’s 30th birthday so we all got together to celebrate. Austin loved building a fire in Steve and Lynne’s backyard and his favorite was being totally buried in leaves.

Family photography, Fort Myers Beach- Miles, Amy and Ian were back on this coast for Christmas.  We got together this morning for family photos on Fort Myers Beach.  Although it was slightly cool on the beach we were all surprised by the crowds.  Miles was a trooper and very patient.  Even though we ran into his nap time he cooperated and posed beautifully.  He just gets cuter every time I see him.  He was barely walking at Halloween but now he walks great and can even run!  Here are a few pictures from this morning at the beach.   Doreen

Chelsea always does things in a big way and loves the attention and drama.    So when my good friend, Lori Castelli of  Kees Photographic Arts and I went to downtown Fort Myers last night, I knew there would be some interesting images of Chelsea.  We started our photo session at the Sidney and Berne Davis Art Center in downtown Fort Myers and wound our way through the streets and ended up at the river for sunset.   We found a newspaper by the fountain and the Headlines were All About the Drama and Chelsea knew that was the theme for the evening.  She never is at a loss for entertainment.

After sunset, we walked back to the Art Center for some after dark images with the dramatic lighting and the huge Christmas Tree in front of theSidney and Berne Davis Arts Center.  Last night there was the Festival of Trees going on inside the Art Center so it was a busy evening.  Here are a few images from our outing together.

This week Maddie, her mom Sue and Dad, Ryan and grandma Carolyn met me at the Winkler Pumpkin Patch for a few family photos.  Maddie is always full of energy and always adorable.  Here are a few pictures from the pumpkin patch. Maddie was a cheerleader for Halloween so we had to get a few pictures in her Cheerleader costume.  The pumpkin patch has become quite a hot spot for photographs.  There must have been at least 6 people with professional cameras there in the few minutes we were taking pictures.

Tomorrow our grandson Austin and new granddaughter Annabelle are arriving with our daughter Michelle so there will be pictures of them sometime this week too.  Stay tuned.  Doreen

Ready to go to grandmas house for a BBQ!

Ready to go to grandmas house for a BBQ!

Fort Myers Family Photography.  This weekend Amy, Miles, Ian, Carolyn and I went to the Pumpkin Patch In Fort Myers for family photography. Miles was a real trooper. Ian put him in the middle of all the pumpkins, threw straw over him, tipped him upside down and put him inside the little tepee and rode him around in the pumpkin cart. Miles took it all in stride and didn't get upset at all. He worked up an appetite and then went to his grandma's house for a BBQ after the Fort Myers Beach family photography session.
